Each member commits to donating $100 at each quarterly meeting, totaling $400 per year.

If you are unable to attend or choose not to attend a meeting, you still agree to donate $100 to the nonprofit selected by the group at that meeting.

We meet four times per year on the third Tuesday of March, June, September, and December at Cascades Manor at 5:30 pm.

At each meeting, members who wish to present place their name in a basket at the beginning of the meeting. Three names are drawn at random.

Each selected member is given five minutes to verbally present a local nonprofit, program, or cause serving Jackson County. The nonprofit itself does not present, and you may not invite representatives of the nonprofit to present on your behalf. Only the member whose name is drawn may present, representing the charity.

After the three presentations, members vote by ballot. Majority rules, and the selected nonprofit receives the collective donation from that meeting.

Only signed, committed members of 100+ Women Who Care may place their name in the basket and present a nonprofit.

The nonprofit must be a registered 501(c)(3) organization and must serve the local Jackson community. Donations must remain 100 percent within Jackson County. National charities are not eligible.

If a nonprofit receives funding, it must wait three years before being eligible to be presented again.

If your name is drawn and your charity is not selected, you may place your name in the basket again at the next meeting.

Presentations must be verbal only. No slides, handouts, printed materials, visual displays, or promotional items are permitted before, during, or after the meeting.

This is not a fundraising event or marketing opportunity. It is a structured giving model.

No. Members may not recruit others to “line the basket,” campaign for votes, coordinate efforts to influence the outcome, or advertise a charity in advance.

There is no promotion or advertising allowed in connection with the meeting.

If recruitment, campaigning, or promotional activity is observed, you will be asked to leave.
