100+ Women Who Care began in 2006, right here in Jackson, Michigan. During a business lunch, Karen F. Dunigan recognized a need in the community and wondered what might happen if women came together to meet it. What felt like a big task for one person became possible through collective action.

That simple idea became a structured, repeatable model: women gathering four times a year, each giving $100, and selecting a local nonprofit to support at every meeting. The approach has remained intentionally straightforward. The impact continues to grow.
